    1. We can’t grow them at home as it is too cold, but they grow well nearer the coast where there is acid soil. In Connemara they thrive. At Cashel House where we give the courses there is a fine specimen. I saw a Telopea truncata in flower at Mount Usher, it is a relative from Tamania
