I planted a number of these Gaillardia last summer, I thought that they would be a nice bit of summer colour, to be honest, I was not thinking that they would survive the winter, but, I was wrong.

They came through the winter brilliantly, keeping evergreen, staying as compact mounds of foliage and have come back into flower in late Spring, and they look amazing.

I think that they like the well drained soil and the open sky above them.
