I am including some really great foliage plants in the new area of the garden. Some will also have flowers or berries to add extra interest. The flowering interest will come from Penstemons, Phygelius and Salvias, the foliage plants adding structure and drama. The weather has been wet, cold and miserable, and while it is far from sit out in the garden weather, there are signs of growth and the rain has stopped Here are some photos from the garden over the last couple of days.
Cape Mallow Does Not Rest
Anisondontea capensis, a remarkable evergreen plant, thrives both indoors and outdoors. It grows over 1 meter high and wide, with year-round flowers. Low-maintenance, it requires occasional pruning and regular watering. Ideal for containers or garden beds, this resilient plant is a beautiful addition to any landscape. Keep an eye out for it in May.
